BEHIND THE CAMERA
My name is Mark and I’m a Canadian photographer (which has now evolved into videography and cinematography). I was always interested in photography, but only seriously began my journey while living overseas. Little did I know that my initial intention to document everyday life overseas would bring out an even greater curiosity for the photography art. Oh the things you discover when you leave the secluded confines of central Canada.
Armed with this born again curiosity, I started visiting galleries, exhibitions, museums, joined one of the local photography clubs and walked endlessly for hours photographing. Back then, I was unaware of the deep roots photography had in Paris, and shamefully naive some would say.
So after wising up and adding a few years of french living under my belt, I’ve come back full circle. Travelling and living in a foreign country does something strange to you, it takes you out of your little cocoon and lets you see things with unborn eyes.
So with the art of photography in mind, I’ve decided to move back to my home country and follow for my aspirations.
